The problem was the booking and subsequent customer experience when trying to amend a ticket bought in-person. Needed to refund a seat as partner was unable to travel, but despite spending at least 3 hours trying to get through to someone on the customer service number, I never actually got to speak to anyone. Eventually I went to the ticket office in-person in Milton Keynes, but they couldn't provide a refund either as it's all online. If you don't use a computer as your primary means of booking however, then it seems virtually impossible to do a simple refund. I will say that *** at the Milton Keynes office was very understanding and tried to help as best as she could.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely appalling service from start to finish. I arrived at Luton coach station over 30 minutes early for my 6:05 am coach to Gatwick. The departure board clearly showed Bay Q, and another ... ⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely appalling service from start to finish. I arrived at Luton coach station over 30 minutes early for my 6:05 am coach to Gatwick. The departure board clearly showed Bay Q, and another National Express driver even told me the coach was delayed and would arrive there. Instead, the coach arrived at Bay N with no announcement whatsoever. When I realised what had happened, I ran towards the coach while it was still reversing and repeatedly waved to the driver. He clearly saw me but deliberately ignored me and drove away. Even the driver of another National Express coach witnessed what happened and advised me to contact customer services because he felt I had been treated unfairly. Unfortunately, customer services were even worse. The adviser was rude, dismissive and showed absolutely no empathy. Rather than trying to help, she simply blamed me, saying I should have checked every bay because coaches can apparently leave from any bay regardless of what the departure boards display. If that's the case, what is the point of having departure information? I booked the next coach, but it arrived around 30 minutes late and was then delayed even further by motorway traffic and additional stops at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Terminal 5. The service was completely unreliable. To make matters worse, in the stress of trying to salvage my journey, I accidentally left my backpack on the coach. When I contacted customer services again, they refused to contact the driver, showed no compassion whatsoever, and simply told me to fill in a lost property form and pay to recover my own belongings. What disappointed me most was not just the delays, but the complete lack of customer care. At every stage I was met with indifference, inflexibility and a total absence of empathy. This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I would strongly advise anyone relying on National Express—especially for airport travel—to think twice. We arrived early and managed to get the earlier bus to Brighton, the driver was so nice and friendly snd allowed us to travel earlier,I paid up front for the 2 reseved seats which we could not use o ... We were pleased to arrive on Brighton earlier and thank the lady driver for the safe journey.zwe will definitely use the service again in the near future. Kind regards

My grandson travelled from London Victoria coach station to Taunton to visit his mum, returning a week later, this was the first time my grandson had travelled alone, National Express looked after my ... My grandson travelled from London Victoria coach station to Taunton to visit his mum, returning a week later, this was the first time my grandson had travelled alone, National Express looked after my grandson, ensuring he had a lovely safe journey, and a big thankyou from me to National Express for bringing him home to me. The service was excellent clean coaches that left on time, and the return coach turned up back into London spot on time. THANKYOU NATIONAL EXPRESS I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO EVERYONE TRAVELLING 😊
