My friend and I are stranded at Tibshelf North as I type, having been left by the bus driver.
After numerous calls to customer service spanning almost 2 hours and being told to call back 4 times to obtain a response from the despatch department, we were told to wait for the next bus going to our original destination to collect us where we had been left at 1.00am, another 5 hours later! We are two women alone at a service station on the motorway in the middle of nowhere! The only alternative offered was for us to use our own means to make our way home! We have luggage on the coach which contains house and car keys and urgent medication. Despite this we were advised that our luggage would be taken to Halifax (!) as per your policy. However we couldn't just call to collect them because we had to await an email from your offices first which we were advised could take up to 14 days!
I have never had an experience like this when travelling and the fact your representatives had to advise two women to wait alone at a service station in the middle of nowhere and offer no alternative means of transport is incredulous to me and incredibly bad customer service.
Your driver left us at a service station which was an unscheduled stop! He said we would be there for only a short while and gave us 5 mins to use the facilities, which we did. He clearly didn't check everyone was back on the bus before he swiftly left! I am informed by your representatives that an unscheduled stop should only take 1 min and no passengers should leave the bus. If that is the case, that is something which should be taken up with your driver.
Despite the smooth journey to my destination the day before, after this horrendous experience I doubt I will use your service again and will certainly not be recommending Flix Bus to anyone I know. In hindsight, had we read the reviews I have been reading whilst waiting here stranded, we may not have booked with yourselves in the first place!

Driver was very friendly and safety aware.
The only issue I had was seating. I paid for a seat 10A and was told to sit anywhere from the 5th seating section as bus was full?

Pathetic and completely unreliable service. This is the second time FlixBus has cancelled my journey just an hour before departure. It makes it impossible to plan anything, especially when travelling with family and elderly parents. Last-minute cancellations cause huge inconvenience, stress, and extra expense finding alternative transport. A transport company should be dependable, but unfortunately FlixBus has been the opposite in my experience. I would not trust them again for important trips.

The journey was excellent due to the friendliness of the driver.
He ensured every passenger was safe and comfortable.
The bus was also maintained at very high standard.

The bus station at Iraty outside Biarritz was not the most convenient as we had arrived at Biarritz airport and the earliest bus to San Sebastian was from this bus station only and not the airport. The bus was approximately 25 mins late arriving. Otherwise the journey was great, the bus was comfortable and clean and the drive was fast and safe

I had one of the worst travel experiences with FlixBus. I paid extra to reserve seat 6D, but when I boarded the bus, the seat didn’t even exist. The numbering jumped from 5 to 10, and there was no proper seating layout matching the booking.
When I asked the driver, he casually said that “all seats are booked” and told me to just sit anywhere and keep changing seats at every stop depending on availability and I had to switch seats 5 times in every stop when someone says they have booked the seat. For a 7-hour journey, this is completely unacceptable.
What’s the point of paying for a reserved seat if the system is meaningless? This shows a serious lack of coordination between booking and actual operations. Passengers shouldn’t have to fight for seats or keep moving throughout the journey.
This was stressful, uncomfortable, and poorly managed. I would not trust FlixBus again for long-distance travel unless they fix these basic issues.
The worst part is when I asked for compensation they refused saying there was no delay. Very worst service in UK. Govt should ban this travel provider. Get out of UK you useless flixbus. I totally hate this experience and I will never ever travel with this bus in my lifetime.

Nobody around at 23:00 as bus was scheduled to arrive at 01.55. I was terrified waiting on my own in the dark.

Really disappointing experience with FlixBus. Our Heathrow journey was cancelled with just a few hours’ notice, leaving us scrambling for emergency lifts. Refund given, but no acknowledgment of the stress or extra costs their cancellation caused.
Customer service was just scripted replies and ignored details — no real help, no escalation, just repeating policy even when no alternatives existed.
We chased it on principle, but ended up feeling unheard and exhausted. We won’t be travelling with them again.
