You have no idea where your next city trip is going to take you? Our recommendation: Warsaw. You will see, the capital city of Poland is certainly worth a visit. The historic old town was thoroughly reconstructed after the devastating air raids during WWII and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1980. In the very centre of the city you can find the three-cornered Royal Castle square and a wonderful sculpture of the river virgin Syrenka. Should you fancy a longer walking tour, the Royal Route is just perfect for you. The so-called Trakt Królewski starts at the Royal Castle, leading you 10 kilometres across the city to the former royal residence of King Sobieski, the Wilanów Palace. Alternatively you can just take a time-out and stroll around in the biggest public park in the city. The park Łazienki was built in the 18th century and with its beautifully arranged lakes, bridges, pavilions and sculptures, it is regarded one of the most impressive parks in Europe. Furthermore, the Orangery in the den Łazienki complex contains a museum, exhibiting an impressive number of sculptures made in Poland. The National Museum in contrast shows European art and findings dating back to early history. In the end you will agree, Warsaw is just perfect for a weekend trip.

You can start your journey for instance in Berlin. German bus operators like FlixBus and Eurolines will bring you to the capital of Poland. Should you prefer travelling through the country, take a look at the offers of the Polish bus company PolskiBus. Most buses will stop at the stations: Warsaw Metro Młociny Bus Terminal, Warsaw – Centrum and Warsaw Zachodnia.
