Postbus was orginally part of the Deutsche Post Mobility GmbH, which was the result of a partnership between the Deutsche Post (German National Postal Service) and the Allgemeinen Deutschen Automobil-Club ADAC (German Automobile Club). It initially operated under the brand name ADAC Postbus in order to pay tribute to its two founders. Since ADAC's decision to leave the partnership, Postbus has continued operations under the new name and wants to further increase the number of bus routes available. Due to the coach company’s own high expectations regarding quality and comfort, it has shown very good results to date.
