The MeinFernbus GmbH was founded in June 2011 in Berlin and started their first long distance bus routes in April 2012. The company does not have a fleet of buses of its own, but rather works together with more than 70 regional medium-sized bus providers. MeinFernbus takes care of the route management, marketing and customer service. The green long distance buses are currently serving bus stops in more than 500 cities.
Insider Tips: Take advantages of the many special and early bird rates. All children under the age of 15 can travel at a reduced rate. The additional cost for travelling with a bicycle is about £6.70. Two pieces of luggage can be taken free of charge, for each additional bag a £3.70 fee will be charged.
Merger of FlixBus and MeinFernbus: On 7 January 2015 the two intercity bus operators FlixBus and MeinFernbus merged into a joint venture. Tickets booked for one of the respective bus operators remain valid without restrictions.
